But we did lose Elder Perez, in another ET, he got sent back to Elliot Bay so we are now just two lonely missionaries in Thornton Creek, it was really interesting. God really has a sense of humor!
I just loved talking to people this week, we met a new person Thomas on the street in the sketchiest part of our area, but he doesn't live there so we're ok mom! It's just amazing how much I feel God guiding me to talk to the right people while we are out, every once in a while I will just feel like I can't just walk past a person - I am always talking to everyone but every so often the Spirit will compel me so strongly to talk to someone that I can't say no at all - it's awesome!
Shout out to the elders in ASL South for helping our friend Steven get baptized this week - they invited me back to the branch to perform the confirmation and it turns out the branch all thought I had gone home for a little bit
so it was like I came back to life - it was hilarious!
We had stake conference in Seattle North Stake yesterday and it was so POWERFUL! Elder David L Wright - an area 70 - presided and he spoke so powerfully of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. It was amazing-I honestly don't know how to explain it but it was just amazing!
I love being a missionary, everyone keeps bringing up the fact that I'm going home soon and it's just making me want to work so much harder right now. So that's good, don't get trunky elders and sisters
.
I know that this is the work of the Lord, there are too many miracles for it not to be. Trust in Him and His immediate goodness. (see a general conference talk from an Elder McKay on Sunday afternoon for that)
Love ya!
Elder Schoemig
