That time I got to see the crew

Hello everyone!
It's a good day here in Seattle, it's been sunny most of the time and warm.
We walked a lot and talked a lot.
Sometimes people talked back, sometimes not.
But we are all good, the work of the Lord is going great!
We got yelled at on the bus a few times, one guy told us that and I quote "I can tell where all the lyin' starts, (points to the Book of Mormon) because I'll tell you I've got a lions heart" so that was interesting... People are kind of crazy.. Not kind of... They're crazy here.
We did meet some nice people and we are just trying to get the work going. Not a lot has happened here for a long time but the ball is rolling, it's like when you make popcorn, some pop earlier and then a bunch pop all at once. So we're about to get at this area and make it on fire so we out here
Love you all!

Transferred! To English program - 3/18/19

That time I be transfered

Well! It has happened, I am transfered into the unknown land of English. The Thornton Creek ward in the Seattle North Stake! So I actually lived really close to here for a long time, I keep seeing places I know 😂
We walk and bus all day, get to talk to a lot of people, from Brazil, Serbia, and a lot from Utah haha, Washington has a crazy amount of returning members who don't want to be returning, several of them actually tell us they moved here to get away from the Church but I guess you can't hide from God 😂
We just talk to people all day, trying to build up this area but we found a person this week and should be finding some more throughout the week, I'm super stoked! I love being a missionary, this is the greatest work on earth.
Love you all!

That time we taught 20 non member lessons/That time I sent my weekly from my area email

Alright everyone! This week was fantastic! So I've talked about it before but our mission has a standard of teaching 20 lessons a week, and if you can't get that with non members then we teach members to increase our teaching skills and improve the faith of the members. But this week Elder Lund and I taught 20 non member lessons, and then more with members! #faithisfire
We have got some good things going on, 6 of our friends are working toward baptism and we are refining our teaching pool to make time to find the elect. It's just a great time to be a missionary. Highlights from this week were MLC was huge! Like 20 more missionaries than normal because transfers are this Wednesday so President brought in all of the next transfers zone leaders and sister training leaders, it was big but so powerful. We just focused on small things. Prayers, making them led by the Spirit so that we can ask for what God wants us to ask for (read the Bible dictionary on prayer, it is my favorite section that I've read so far in there) and doing the little things, not creeping into disobedience or even just slothfulness. And training on the family of God was just great! I loved it.
Yesterday we taught lessons like crazy, I just love being able to try to follow the Spirit and try to help people learn, the best feeling is when you follow the Spirit and something great happens and you know that you are learning. I love being a missionary.
Love you all!

Scones/Pday today - 3/4/19

That time our friends got in a fight

Hey everyone! We're out here in Seattle just having a great time! This week we taught many lessons, found some new friends - thanks to the members!! 🙏🙏🙏We are just loving it! First we found Jerry, I met Jerry like 8 months ago and got his video phone but he never answered when we called but we just decided to call him and he finally answered! And the first thing he said was "Elder Schoemig it's been so long! Why did you never call me!" 😔 #itsallinthelordstime
Then our good member Jorge who is in a rehab facility after he suffered a stroke several months ago invited his friend Greg to come learn from us and we got to teach him and that was wonderful! Fun fact Greg is a 6th degree black belt, so that's pretty neat.
But two of our other friends got in an argument this week, we had a group call going and one is just loving the church right now, the other let's things get in the way of going to church so when one told us that she was going to another church our friend who loves church goes "you gotta pick one!! It's this other church or the true church, but me I will pick the right church. That other church is Satan!" and you can imagine where it went from there.... But we figured it out and we are all friends again! Happy days return to Tacoma!
I also had interviews with President Wilding, we talked a lot about the branch and what's going on and the missionary situation, we talked alot about transfers so that was weird haha. But I love interviews, I love President Wilding and Sister Wilding. They are exactly who I needed to be able to grow in this mission. The Lord calls the right people that he needs into the callings and places where they will do the most good. I know that my call from from God through a living prophet.
Love you all!
