That time we celebrated the Saviors birth

Last week was a great period of time!
Obviously there was Christmas, it was great to see my family! And meet my nephew! I love my family, everyone is all grown up now! It's weird! Haha
But Christmas night President invited some missionaries to his house for desserts and then after we played apples to apples with President and Sister Wilding, it was awesome! Then this week there were some miracles! ASL N has only one friend. Isabel and she came to church! And we had a fantastic lesson with her and she feels ready to be baptized! So we are working on the new friends to teach but that is fantastic! Isabel and her friend who is a member Saralyn have come so far since I taught them last year when I was in north and the change has been fantastic! Thanks to the elders who taught her after I left!
We also were able to just have the Spirit with us, especially yesterday at church and at the lessons we had after, it is good to have the Spirit 😁
I love you all! This is really Jesus Christ's church, I know it!

Christmas Pictures - 12/24/18

That time we whitewashed in.

Hello everyone! So transfers was nuts! Here is the gist of it, I thought I would be going to ASL Central, psych. I thought I would no longer be a zone leader, psych. So what happened is that Elder Luckau and I whitewashed into ASL North and I am zone leader training him. Elder Lund is still a zone leader with me we just aren't companions, it's weird. ASL North the part of it that we took so Lynnwood and up to Canada hasn't had any people being taught here for a while so we are starting from scratch, it is a big contrast from ASL S where we were teaching almost 20 lessons every week and had lots of people we were working with and then coming here and not having anything, but at least I know the area pretty well from when I served here last year, although most of the people I knew were either baptized or dropped. We will see what happens though!
Other than that, not much is going on, Ive learned a lot about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and what that really means, I'm in my last 6 months and in this mission that means I can read a book called the Infinite Atonement and that taught me a lot. I am noticing how central the Atonement of Jesus Christ really is, if you don't understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ then you should study it! That is really the reason for this season, if there was no atoning sacrifice there would be no Christmas. I love my Savior Jesus Christ for doing what he did and being willing to save us all, it truly is an all encompassing act of charity that he accomplished for us. He truly is the light of the world.
Love you all!
Merry Christmas!

That time I picked up my son!

Well everyone! I'm a dad! For those of you who don't know missionary lingo, to be a dad is to train, so I am training the newest member of the WEMASL Dream Team-Elder Luckau! It's going to be a great transfer! I already know it! He was dropped off at our apartment Tuesday by President and Sister Wilding, and he is great, really excited to work with him.
In other news we've got people coming out of the woodwork here in ASL S, Tacoma is popping, we are hoping to grow the ASL group in university place there and help that become a branch, wouldn't that be great!? So we are praying for miracles and people are coming out that want to learn, so pray for them!
Really, this week we just met with a lot of people and made some new friends, this lady and her husband Darla and Mark accepted a baptismal invite from Elder Luckau last night! It was funny he invited Mark while Darla wasn't paying attention so he just hit the seat they were on and basically was like "Hey babe! Wanna be baptized?" and it was just the chiller accepting of a baptismal invite I've been a part of, not to mention the fact he was just chowing down on some peanuts the whole lesson. It was awesome though, I love them!
I love this work so much, it is the greatest privelage in the world to be serving my God, I know that this work is in His hands, He guides me every day.
Love you all!

That time we deaf blind interpreted a lot

Good morning all! This was a crazy great week! To start off, every Tuesday and Wednesday night we have appointments with some deaf blind sisters from our branch. Trying to help them come back to church but on Wednesday Elder Lund and I had a great lesson with Terri and she even came to church for the first time in years on Sunday! Then Wednesday was the craziest. We had a lesson with Lavena and we brought another deaf blind active member to come help us, but we were on exchanges so it was just me..... And two deaf blind people.... And Elder King.... He doesn't know ASL.... And the dead blind people can't see what the other is saying so I have to interpret for them. And then whenever Elder King or I said anything I had to dead blind interpret with both hands... It was a crazy night! But so fun! Then I went to the Spanish area the next day on another exchange and we just went to work! It was great.
We are just receiving more blessings of people to work with now. After Letitia's baptism in October we basically got dropped by everyone. It was rough, but we have worked our way back up and our teaching pool is growing.
I love the Lord Jesus Christ and I love this work. It is the best thing that I can be doing right now.
I love you all!
