That time it rained again

Hello! The rain is back! We had a great week! It was way fast, not a lot of lessons with our friends but we had a crazy busy week nonetheless. Lots of crazy times where we met amazing people and it was a great time.
We had a lesson with Manny where we learned things about why he's been concerned about baptism, he is very nervous because he's not sure which church he should pick, he knows the Book of Mormon is true but he is not sure that means that Joseph Smith is a prophet or that the church is Jesus Christ's restored church. So we are helping him with that!

Other than that some cool experiences getting in touch with some returning members that have been hard to get in touch with them but we did yesterday!

All in all this has been a fantastic week!

Sorry I'm not saying much but it was a great week! I love being out here! I love teaching people about the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Love ya!

Smoky and Elder Bird - 8/20/18

1.It's real smokey here....
2.Back at it again

That time Elder Bird came back

Well transfers for this week, Elder bird is back! We are companions again in ASL south!!! We are so out here! This week we just went to work, visiting people, trying to find some more of the elect! But it turns out they just find us! We were in Lacey for they day on Friday when some elders came to a church building we were just chillin at and when they saw we were ASL they told us that the day before they had gotten a referral for someone who is deaf!!!!!! Oh man we were stoked!! Also it means we get to go to Lacey more often which is fine by me, I love Lacey, ummm other than that we just visited any people we knew, some of our friends are being really hard to contact but we are working on it!

Elder Bird and I are doing good, just living life.

Anyways the Lord blesses us when we pray for His help, for the past transfer I have been praying for people to find us and the past few weeks have just been amazing and a real testimony builder for me, He blesses us so abundantly that we sometimes don't even have enough time to do all that He gives us. I love being a missionary, I know that He guides and supports us! Love ya!

Night at the city - 8/13/18

Seattle from Safeco Field
Bathroom selfie with the ASL Elders.

That time I shared the Gospel shirtless

This week was interesting. Just a blur of deaf people and other such things. We have met the most amount of new deaf people this week. Met a Deaf guy from Bhutan, he's a baller, still learning some communication things but we can talk pretty good. Then another deaf guy named Patrick he's super cool. Then meeting with lots of other people. We had lots of other things come up this week but we still received many blessings of being guided to the right place at the right time to talk with people. For example we visited Patrick right as he stepped out on his balcony. We visited Letitia right after she found some exciting news about her family history and was ready to accept a baptism invite.

Elder Madsen is getting transferred. I might be in an ASL tripack with Elder Allmendinger and Elder Camillo Gois, or I'm back with Elder Bird, or I'm with another newbie. We will see! It's gonna be crazy!
Also I went to a doctors appointment, and the guy was asking me all these questions while he was scanning my heart, that's why my shirt was off, but Elder Madsen and I were able to teach the gospel to this Indian doctor, one of my favorite contacts of all time on my mission probably

Umm other than that, nothing much, doing good, it finally rained again! It was the best!
This week just was a Testament that the Lord guides the work, literally all of the perfect timings ever. It was so amazing, we were able to help so many people because of the promptings of the spirit. I love my mission.

That time we saw some miracles

Hello everyone!
This week was pretty killer, we saw some good days and some bad days, but when you are on the Lord's errand the bad days don't feel so bad! Anyways, this week, zone leader exchanges on Tuesday, because of Elder Camillo Gois being a district leader and neither of the zone leaders knowing ASL we do exchanges so the zone leaders split up and each goes with a different district leader so we got Elder Scheffner he's flipping awesome so we went to work of course and ended up getting two new friends in like a half hour! It was awesome! There are some apartment complexes around here that just have an absurd amount of deaf people in them, the one we found our two new friends at were actually both visiting some of our members as we got there, the Lord's timing is great, and we talked with them, and we don't even know about all the deaf people who live in this place, we recently found out that there are more down the hill!! Let's go.
Then another day we were walking around trying to visit some people from our area book and we met two deaf blind people walking down the street!! And then like an hour later we were in this apartment complex ringing every doorbell we could see and they were all deaf people! Or deaf blind, it was a great couple of hours! We were walking around by this place called the Lighthouse for the Blind. It's a place for blind people to work, it's pretty baller. And many more things that happened this week have been great! I feel the Lord is trusting Elder Madsen and I so much with such amazing miracles of meeting the people we are and along with that I feel the Spirit influencing my life more now than probably ever, guiding my thoughts and helping me help the people that we meet. I love it!
Love you all!

Missionary tag - July 30 2018

That time it was super easy to jump off that boat

Alright everyone, this week was a doozy, Tuesday district meeting was a fun one, then exchanges with some Spanish elders, I was with Elder Weekes and we basically did service and travel time. Kind of a bummer but that's OK, service is a wonderful way to show people we care for them! Then Wednesday we got thrown off by service as well, so here in Washington almost no one has air conditioning, so naturally any time it gets above like 75, everyone rushes to buy portable AC units. So there were a bunch of stores sold out and we were trying to help this one lady get her AC and it was just a whole big mess because she was being very particular about which AC unit she wanted and yada yada yada. But we got that done, it was pretty neat. Thursday doctors appointment, alls well. Then ASL class in Burien! I love Burien, it is such a fun place but anyways, class went well, we practiced fingerspelling because most people are not good at that yet. It was great!
Friday was all day service and that's where our email title comes into play, we were riding back after a nightmare of getting on the ferry we got there in time for one and then they kicked us out because we cut in line (we were following the GPS but we should have known better) then we had to wait until 2 ferrys after the one that we almost made it to. So we were super late and while we were on the ferry, all four of us and a member. Elder Madsen turned to Elder Allmendinger and I and said "it would be so easy to jump off this boat right now" we were just like "huh... That's true.." it was very strange. But actually it might have been Elder Allmendinger to Elder Madsen and I but I can never remember, it's been a whole 3 days since that happened. Saturday I was on exchanges and Elder Meyer and I were in an English area and we talked to everyone, all over the place, it was so fantastic, riding bikes was fun. Then church was good, Letitia came, it was a great time! But anyway, this was a strange week but it was really great I saw the Lord guiding us to where we needed to be. He really does trust and guide His missionaries to do the things they need to do, I love being a missionary.
