Puget Sound - 5/28/18

Picture
Sorry I was bad with pictures this week mom! That's a picture of Puget Sound from a ferry though so that's pretty neat.

That time ASL South moved to Seattle

So we moved this week, because of the Everett mission taking the shoreline, Seattle North, and Bothell stakes, we had to move up into downtown Seattle, life there is different but really fun, we live right by Lake Union, it's pretty far north for ASL South so we will try to move a little more south, but we have to live in the Everett mission so that's one thing.
Second thing, Dhan and Bee are doing great! We went to a lesson with then and Dhan started explaining the first vision to us! That shows us he is looking at the pictures in the Book of Mormon stories book and the Lord is helping him understand even though he doesn't read English! So cool!! They also came to church Sunday! I love it when they are at church, it is so fun and the branch super supports them and tries to communicate with them as best as they can!
Manny is doing good too! He came to church too! Saturday we found him a ride but Manny said that he couldn't come, then like 15 minutes before church started he just walked in and I was shook, it was so awesome! He had ridden a bus all the way from Renton to Shoreline! Which probably means nothing to you but wow that's far! You can look it up if you want.
But we are doing good, we are working hard, we have met some new deaf people this week and I could not be more stoked for this next transfer, I love being a missionary and talking with people about the gospel, it is a great feeling to be guided by the Spirit and share the gospel, I invite each of you to try to experience that feeling for yourself, get out and share the gospel with anyone, member or nonmember just do it and feel the Spirit testify to you and to them that your words are true. This is the Lord's church and His gospel and He loves us; we are His children! What a great truth! I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. And I love you all!

Find Elder Schoemig - 5/21/18

1. Seattle
2. Find the Schoemig
3. And that's about it
4. District meeting

That time district meeting was lit

Hello everybody! This week was pretty good. Tuesday we went on exchanges with the Zone leaders, I went with Elder Carver. It was pretty good. We went to work, found a new investigator, Let's go! Wednesday, I interviewed an entire family for baptism from an area in my district. And on Saturday all 5 of them were baptized. It was awesome. Friday, we did a lot of work in West Seattle, I like West Seattle, it's pretty chill. Saturday we met with a Deaf boy and his family, it was crazy, we brought the Spanish Elders and there were 3 languages happening at once, Spanish, English, and ASL. And we are going back today to teach the Family ASL so they can better communicate with their son. It was a really cool thing that we got to meet that family, they are so nice and I really just want to help them so I'm excited for that. We also went to a baptism, not the family that I interviewed, but it was still pretty cool. Baptism is pretty neat. Then we got to go to the Temple with the Branch. That was pretty cool. It was Elder Allmendingers first time in a Sign Language session. I love the Temple. Sunday Church and the Fireside. That's about it. The Temple is the house of the Lord. And when we go to the Temple, we receive revelation and we are blessed make regular temple attendance a goal. It has given me amazing blessings when I am able to go to the temple and it will do the same for you. I love you all!

That time we saw Alex get baptized, and ate a burrito

Hello everyone! This was a great week! Alex, one of my old investigators in ASL North got baptized yesterday! Super stoked!!! I took pictures with him so that's good. Other than that it was just a week full of teaching driving and teaching some more and a giant burrito. Saturday brother Peck bought us Mexican food and that was pretty neat, Elder Camillo Gois and I got the same burrito and they were HUGE! by the end of it both of us were so stuffed, and he ended up finishing it and beating me, yeah Elder Camillo Gois may look small but he can put down way more food than me, don't be fooled. Elder Allmendinger and I drove to Belfair Washington for a deaf social, it was far but we got to go over the Tacoma narrows bridge which was good! I love that bridge so much, so pretty.
Elder Allmendinger is improving his sign language so that has been great, he now understands a lot more of different types of signing!
Lastly, calling my family yesterday was awesome, I love you all! You are great! Family is the top most important thing that we should cherish, Our Heavenly Father has given us our families to learn how he feels about us and how we should feel about everyone as spirit brothers and sisters, so treat everyone like your brothers and sisters, and I don't mean the bad way to treat siblings, I mean with love and kindness and the way that the Savior treats us, and if you do that you will never regret a second. Love you all!

That time we were very busy

Hello! This week was very great! We met many people, we taught many lessons, we are excited for the work!
Everyone here is doing awesome, Elder Allmendinger is killing it in sign language. So basically every day we had no time to do any finding cuz we were going back and forth to things or other things came up and we had to be busy all the time, it was great! Yesterday there were so many people at church it was awesome! Letitia and Manny came to church and also Alex came to church! I don't know if any of you remember him but elder Camillo Gois and I found and started teaching Alex and he is now going to be baptized next week! Super excited!! Anyhow, some old missionaries came to visit yesterday so everyone was really excited about that so it was a bonkers day really busy.
Everyone, today is a great day to follow Jesus Christ, and if you've already been following Him then it's a great to follow Him even more faithfully! He is the best way to happiness and peace in this life. Following Him has brought me amazing happiness, when we do everything we can we can have a sure knowledge that He will take care of us!
Love you all!
